Kismat Konnection ("Kismat Konnection," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI-matched introduction service, based in Paris, France. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Kismat Konnection mobile application (the "App"), why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account, you agree to the practices described here.
This Policy covers only our data practices. For the rules around using the App itself — acceptable conduct, liability, and disputes — see our Terms of Service.
We collect only what the service genuinely needs to work:
We use your information to: operate and improve the matching service; have Kismat AI evaluate compatibility and propose introductions; verify that accounts belong to real people; facilitate conversations between matched users; respond to support requests; investigate reports of abuse or policy violations; and comply with legal obligations.
We never send marketing of any kind. We may email you about your own account — that it has been approved, that a step is still outstanding, or that you have a new match — and every such email carries an unsubscribe link. Notifications are separate, and are optional and off by default: if you choose to turn them on, your browser or device may alert you about your own account, and you can turn them off at any time in your browser or device settings.
A notification deliberately contains no detail — it never names another member or says what happened, because it can appear on a lock screen that other people can see. The detail is only visible once you open the App.
Kismat Konnection uses Google Sign-In as its only way to sign in. When you sign in, Google gives us three things and nothing more: your name, your email address, and your Google profile picture. We request only the basic email, profile and openid permissions. We never request access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, photos, or any other Google service, and we could not read them even if we wanted to.
Here is exactly what happens to that data:
Kismat Konnection's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell your personal information, and nothing you put into the App — your profile, photos, video, location, messages, or anything you tell Kismat AI — is shared with anyone for advertising. Information is shared only in these limited circumstances:
Your information is encrypted in transit and stored with a provider that enforces strict access controls. Access to user data internally is limited to what's needed for moderation, safety review, and support. No system is perfectly secure, and we continually work to improve our safeguards.
Your verification video is deleted automatically as soon as verification is complete — we do not keep it for the life of your account. Everything else we retain for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, photos, any verification video still held, matches, and chat history are permanently erased. Some records — such as safety reports involving your account — may be retained in anonymized form for trust-and-safety purposes even after deletion.
You can review and update most of your profile information at any time from within the App. You may delete your account at any time — either from within the App or through our public account-deletion page — which permanently erases your data as described above. If you have questions about your data, reach us through the App’s Support feature.
Because we are based in France, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to how we handle your information, and you have the following rights over it:
Exercise any of these through the App’s Support feature. We answer within one month, as the GDPR requires.
The legal bases we rely on: performing our contract with you (running your account, matching, and messaging); your consent (optional notifications, and the voice recordings and location you choose to provide); our legitimate interests (keeping the platform safe, investigating abuse, and preventing fraud); and compliance with legal obligations.
If you believe we have mishandled your data you may complain to the French supervisory authority, the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), at cnil.fr, or to the supervisory authority in your own EU country.
The Kismat Konnection mobile app uses no advertising trackers at all. Everything in this section applies only to this website.
Google Analytics is used to understand how people move through sign-up — which screens are reached, and where people stop. This is how we find and fix the places the app is confusing or broken. It sets a cookie (named _ga) so that repeated visits from the same browser can be recognised as one person rather than many. That cookie holds a random identifier and nothing else. Google’s own advertising features, ad personalisation and Google Signals are explicitly disabled, so Analytics data is not used to target advertising to you.
The TikTok Pixel and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel are used on this website when we advertise on those platforms. Each records that someone arriving from one of our adverts reached a particular screen, and whether they finished creating a profile, so we can tell whether an advert was worth running. They set cookies in your browser for that purpose, and they are advertising technologies: TikTok and Meta may each use what they receive to measure and improve the adverts shown to you.
What we never send to any of them: your name, your email address, your photos, your intro video, your location, your matches, or anything you tell Kismat AI. They receive the name of the screen you are on and the step you reached — nothing that identifies you. Both advertising pixels have their “automatic advanced matching” feature switched off — that is the setting that would otherwise read email addresses and phone numbers out of web forms — and their wider automatic collection of page content and on-page behaviour is switched off too.
Your choices. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time; the App will keep working normally. You can also limit how each platform uses advertising data from within your own TikTok and Facebook account settings. None of this tracking happens inside the mobile app.
Kismat Konnection is intended for adults 18 years of age and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly. See our Child Safety Standards page for how to report a concern.
Kismat Konnection is based in Paris, France. Some of our service providers — including our database and AI processing providers — operate outside the European Economic Area, which means your information may be transferred and processed outside the EEA.
Where that happens, the transfer is made under an adequacy decision of the European Commission, or under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
This Policy is governed exclusively by the laws of France, and any dispute about it falls to the courts of Paris, France. Kismat Konnection is based in Paris, France. If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you keep the data-protection rights and remedies of your country of residence, including the right to complain to its supervisory authority.
Questions about this Policy or your data can be sent through the App's Support feature — Kismat Konnection does not maintain a public support email address.
